Are you struggling to develop the perfect website layout?

website layout

When I started my business I didn’t think I could hit publish on anything (emails, blog posts, facebook posts, etc.) unless it was perfect. The website layout, the content, the photos. Everything had to be perfect.

I would drive myself crazy writing, re-reading, browsing the internet to look at the ways other professionals handled themselves and their businesses.

I felt fake. It wasn’t who I was. I’m just not the type of girl that wants to shower for the day and put on makeup just because I am going live on facebook and need to look presentable.

We really need to tear this idea of perfection out of our notebook, crumble it up, throw it on the ground, and stomp on it! Get rid of it! No one is perfect.

If you have a website and it isn’t being used, all you need to do right now is add an ‘About me’ page with words that come from your heart (just be you!). If you offer services then list them on your site so your audience knows what it is that you have to offer (and whatever it is, it’s incredible and you shouldn’t be holding back on it!), and a ‘Contact’ page where your audience can reach you. Don’t get all hot and bothered about the website layout. Focus on your content. The more important thing is that your prospects know how to get a hold of you.

You don’t need to drop $3k on a website upfront to make it look pretty, with purchased fonts and custom designed logos. Remember, if you are providing value on a regular basis –  if you are simply being you and not trying to be the other girl on the internet who seems to have her sh*t together (news flash: she doesn’t!) – then clients will flock to you because they resonate with YOU. You are perfect just the way you are and people want to see your true colors 🙂 LET THEM SHINE!
